PADI Divemaster Courses and Internships Program

The PADI Divemaster Course is the first step towards a career in scuba diving; it is a prerequisite for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications. As a PADI Divemaster you will be able to (LOCAL LAWS PERMITTING): conduct first time diving programs, assist instructors, organize, supervise and lead dives as well helping others to have fun.

Cost:– At Orangeshark we offer a limited number of Divemaster internship’s each season (minimum of three months is a requirement) and then it is totally free if undertaken in less than three months cost of course is euros we would recommend a minimum of four weeks. We limit our number of internships to ensure higher standards of training and time given to you. Your only other costs will be for PADI materials, PADI Fees, food and accommodation.

Program:- In exchange for the free PADI Divemaster Internship course, you will work side by side with our highly experienced instructors 6 days a week. Through the structured internship you will learn dive leadership through both independent study and classroom work. Waterskills and stamina exercises will strengthen your diving skill, working with the instructors on courses and dives will help you problem solve and increase your diving abilities. And best of all get to dive which is what we all love to do !!!

Requirements:- To participate in the Divemaster program, you will need to have completed your Rescue Diver Certification, current first aid certification. However if you not quite there yet, then we can help, you can come earlier and complete these courses with us (contact us for prices, we can tailor make a program for you). You will also need to have completed at least 60 dives by the end of the course. So you should start the Divemaster course with at least 40 dives and be medically fit and 18 years old or over.

GO PRO IDC & IE ETC

Malta has three IE’s a year, March, May and November with another held in September in Gozo. There are a few steps to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, firstly to complete an Instructor Development Course (IDC) with the certificate of excellence award winning Course Director Steve Watkinson or with Course Director Luca Dall’Osto and pass a PADI Instructor Examination (I.E.). With our team we want to make this as stress free as possible, we have all been there! We want to prepare you to be a competent professional PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. At Orangeshark we have a highly trained team of professionals who do not just want you to pass your I.E. but also to feel confident and find your place in the exciting dive insutry.

Instructor Development Course (IDC)

Pre-requisistes – PADI Divemaster or leadership level certification with a recognized recreational diver training organization

Minimum Age – 18 year old

The IDC is normally held 9 days before the Instructor Exam (IE). The course teaches you how to teach in the classroom, pool and open water. It also goes through how to teach the core courses, and many other useful things you will need as a PADI Instructor.

Duration – 9 days

IDC VALUE PACKAGE 1 – IDC + EFR

You need to be en EFR Instructor to be a qualified Oper Water Scuba Instructor. Why not do them together?

Earrn your 5 speciality ratings, and apply for MSDT sa soon as you have certified 25 students.

IDC + EFR + MSDT = €. SAVING €.

Not included in Price:-PADI required Materials, PADI fees and PADI IE fee. We can obtain prices of these on requested price for the PADI membership and IR fee are on their website.
