The Bristol Blenheim Bomber

Ease of Dive: ease

The Bristol Blenheim Bomber started service here in Malta on the 30th on August 1941. During their flight to attack a base in Greece she was attacked by two Italian Macchi C200’s, and one of the engines was destroyed. They pilot managed to ditch the aircraft just south of Marsacala.

She now sits in 40 meters of water. It is possible to see wings and engines, plus one of the propellers and the fuselage. Many thanks to Mark Fothergill for these images.
