THE X127 (FORMALLY THE CAROLITA)

Ease of Dive: ease of dive

These (Water carriers) were designed and built for the First World War Gallipoli Landings. Sixteen of these (X-lighters) were sent to Malta for the Second world War and this particular vessel was sunk by dive bombers in 1942. This is a great dive. She now sits with her bows at 6 mtrs and her stern at 25 meters. During the trip out to the wreck you may come across some old artefacts from the war, or even further back, as amphora has been found here.
